Stovetop Fragrance

Craving a fresh scent for your upcoming get-together?  This quick recipe and one pot wonder will fill the whole house with a refreshing scent.

Ingredients:
Water, 2 Lemons, Fresh Rosemary, Vanilla, Orange (to zest)

Directions:
Add 3-4 inches of water in the bottom of a pot and bring to a boil.
Slice the lemons into thin slices and add to pot.
Roll the stems of fresh rosemary between your hands to release some of the natural oils and fragrance, then add to the pot along with 1-2 Tbsp orange zest and 1 Tbsp Vanilla.

Reduce to a simmer and add more water as it reduces throughout the night.

Turn off at the end of the evening.  Let cool.  You can cover it overnight and restart in the morning.  Or once cool, pull out the stems of rosemary and toss.  Pour the water and lemon slices into your sink and turn on the disposer.  It will act as a disposer cleaner.

If you're a Costco fan, they have a cute rosemary tree for $22.  Use inside during the holiday season, then plant outside.  They stay green year-round!
